Tana Adelmann
Tana joined Carson Kaye in December 2021 and recently became a director at the firm. She has exclusively practiced criminal defence law since qualifying as a solicitor. She is known for her dedication, her exceptional level of case preparation and for going the extra mile for her clients.
Tana runs a large and serious caseload. She has experience of all areas of criminal defence work representing clients at police stations and Magistrates’ Courts for a range of allegations, including murder, tolitigating cases in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal.
Her current cases include:
- A 12-defendant £266 million alleged money laundering case involving the Asian Gold Market, specifically the transfer of gold to Dubai and then back to the UK in the form of cash.
- An 18-defendant alleged conspiracy to defraud matter concerning the fraudulent sales of a holiday investment products. The fraud has been valued between £30-40 million.
- Conspiracy to murder alleged to have been planned on EncroChat telephones. The admissibility of such evidence is currently the subject of several legal challenges.
- Murder, in which the defendant is accused of being part of a joint-enterprise shooting.
She also represents clients accused of serious violence, sexual offences and large-scale drugs offences. Her clients range from youths to political leaders and people in the music industry.
Tana is known both for her empathetic nature and dedicated client care whilst being able to provide robust advice. She prides herself on representing every client tirelessly throughout their case with the aim of achieving the best results for her clients in their individual circumstances.
Outside work, Tana likes to snowboard in the winter and drink rosé in the summer.
